Lake Miboroko Rest Area and Restaurant
It is a gentle flavor meal which you can enjoy the original taste of the ingredients. The Tōbanyaki (ceramic plate grill, a common Japanese cooking method in which meat, fish and vegetables, etc. are cooked on a ceramic plate.), with its steam coming out and tasty smell in front of you will definitely make you hungry. Other than the main dish, the small bowls of cooked food and miso soup (A Japanese traditional food made by Daishi [basic ingredient of traditional Japanese cuisine, made by soaking or boiling ingredients such as dried bonito flakes and kelp in water.] and Miso paste [Japanese fermented paste made by soybeans, grain (like rice or barley), salt, and koji (malted rice)].) also had good textures and accents. All the food was well-prepared and delicious. The Japanese-style room in the restaurant can be rented as a prayer space, and the washroom is also available. There is also a store where you can buy souvenirs.

Through a travel agency, we began to receive inquiries for Muslim customers as the number of tourists from Indonesia increased. At first, we used chicken, but we participated in the Muslim Friendly Project in Takayama (Located in the mountainous Hida region of Gifu Prefecture, surrounded by nature, a popular tourist area where the old Japanese townscape still remains.) and had the chance to meet vender which handle halal chicken and non-alcoholic soups and expanded the service for Muslims customers. Please note that our restaurant is only available for those who made reservations from the travel agency.
