Opportunity to open a mosque
Fujikawaguchiko town (It is located in southeast part of Yamanashi Prefecture, the town is at the northern foot of Japan's highest mountain, Mt. Fuji.) is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan, and many Muslims came to visit but there were voices that the area was lack of places to worship and eat Halal meals. Also, there was a crave for the mosque in the area from Muslims, and in order to answer to this request, we have been working together with a support organizations JHCPO, and Muslim and Japanese volunteers. We had been building the mosque little by little for the past 8 months since the start. The pre-opening ceremony was attended by a total of 380 Muslims and Japanese parties all over from Japan, by four large buses and public transportation from distant places.
