Kajiya
It is a restaurant where you can enjoy wide variety of rice bowls and set menus. In Kamakura, they serve fresh shirasu (whitebait) from Sagami Bay, so I had the Maguro-Shirasu-don (Tuna & Whitebait rice bowl). The tuna was a little small but fresh, and it was topped with plenty of boiled shirasu. It comes with a small bowl side dish, a side dish of pickles, and miso soup. In Kanagawa Prefecture, shirasu fishing is not allowed usually from January 1 to mid-March at each fishing port, in order to protect the resources of the area, so fresh shirasu is not available in that season. If you happen to visit besides the fishing closed season, please come and try the fresh raw shirasu. The Teriyaki Chicken set meal and the Grilled Fish set meal are popular among Muslims. (Kamakura is a coastal town located in Kanagawa Prefecture, a famous tourist spot with Japan's historical heritage and beautiful nature.) (Kanagawa is located in the Kanto region of Japan, under Tokyo, with the famous tourist spot, Kamakura and Hakone.) (Miso soup is a Japanese traditional food made by Dashi [basic ingredient of traditional Japanese cuisine, made by soaking or boiling ingredients such as dried bonito flakes and kelp in water.] and Miso paste [Japanese fermented paste made by soybeans, grain (like rice or barley), salt, and koji (malted rice)].) (Teriyaki is a dish which ingredients such as meat and fish are broiled, roasted, or grilled with teriyaki sauce [sweet and savory flavor sauce].)
