When the owner came to Japan, there were only north Indian cuisine restaurants in Japan. the owner opened the restaurant because he wanted to offer authentic south Indian cuisine which was unfamiliar in Japan. The name “DAKSHIN” means “South” in Sanskrit, Indian ancient language.
