Founded in 1867, a long-established Japanese tea specialty store that has been opened for 157 years. The store is located at the Azumabashi intersection, at the Kaminadimon-dori and the Umamichi-dori, Asakusa (located in Taito city, Tokyo's traditional old town area with many tourist spots.). The store offers a wide variety of items from tea sets, iron kettles, kyusu (teapots), and more. They also have items that allow you to enjoy Japanese tea without teapots, such as tea bag and powdered tea. Only carefully selected products are handled, and the Halal-certified tea leaves which does not use any chemical fertilizer, and the Halal-certified Uji matcha (a premium matcha green tea grown in the Uji region, Kyoto prefecture) soft serve ice cream which dose not use any additive and food colorings are the most popular. There are also a wide variety of soft serve ice cream, including vanilla, mango, chocolate, and a spring-only Sakura (cherry blossom). The cone used for the soft serve ice cream is also Halal-certified. Since there are many foreign tourists, including Muslims, the store displays the grade of the sencha (middle-grade green tea) with numbers, and hand down a from explaining how to drink Japanese tea in each country's language, which makes it a popular store for the oversea travelers. A tea ceremony class is held, but advance consultation is required. They can correspond if there are reservations (from more than five people), but not on the day of the class. Credit cards are accepted, but only for purchases over 3,240 yen. Purchases over 5,400 yen are tax free. Alipay can be used.
