Mabrur Halal Dining Kyoto
The interior of the restaurant is a monotone stylishness base tone, a relaxing space with the w warmth of wood. The design of the lightings and the partition between the seats are stylish and very nice. The day we interviewed at 15:30, was raining but several groups of customers were always coming in and out of the restaurant. There are many kinds of lunch set and also serves a buffet. The buffet can be served from one person in the group (all the group members dose not have to order the same buffet). All the staff was very pleasant and helpful which feels great. You can choose the spiciness of the curry from four levels. I choose level 2, but it was a moderate spiciness which children can eat. All the meat such as lamb and chicken were tender and very delicious.

The owner and the chef are Muslims who are from Islam. The non-smoking and non-alcoholic is not just for the restaurant, but also share common with the working staff, so the restaurant is composed of non-smoker staffs. There were already Indian and Nepali restaurant in Japan, but there were only few restaurants run and cooked by an Islam, so before the Olympics, they opened a restaurant for the Muslims from the Islam, where they can eat in a peace of mind. They said that after moving to the current location in April, 2024, they set up a prayer space and a diaper changing place, so that the customers can spend time much more in ease. They also run “Mabrur Halal Dining” along Route 1, in Yawata City (A city located in the southwestern part of Kyoto prefecture, between Kyoto City and Osaka City, with convenient transportation). It has a prayer space and the second floor is dedicated for group guests (35 people). 12 cars can be parked in the compound, and large buses can be parked, so please use this place when you come in a group bus.
